National League Division 1 leaders Melrose visit Canal Park this weekend.
3rd XV also playing at home.
This weekend sees an exciting home fixture for the Canal Park crowd as Highland entertain Melrose in a National League Division 1 Week 7 fixture.
Highland will look to continue their winning ways after last weeks 40-10 victory over Watsonian FC at a soggy Canal Park.
5th placed Highland will view this as an opportunity to gain further ground on their opponents and keep the pressure on the three teams immediately above us who have all played one game less than Highland so far.
A stern test awaits against the league leaders who have suffered a single loss whilst securing a try bonus in all but 1 of their 6 games so far. They had a come from behind victory at the Greenyards against Cartha Queens Park last weekend.
The squad will be relishing the prospect of an entertaining game and welcoming back former Highland Rugby Club DO and 1st XV Player Iain Chisholm both on and off the park.
The Raptors have no game this week in Caledonia North League Div 2.
The 3rd XV currently lie 6th in
Caledonia North League Div 4 having only played 1 game. This weekend they take on Turriff RFC, who are 4th, in a home fixture at Canal Park.
It has been a stuttering start for all teams in this league. Turriff have managed to get four games under their belt, and have 2 wins and 2 losses. However they will be brimming with confidence after a resounding 107-0 win over Aberdeen Taexali last time out.
It was important that the 3rd XV managed to get a run out in a friendly against Ross Sutherland 2nd XV last weekend. It was a loss, but game time was what was needed and it was great to get the boys out on the field.
Both games KICK OFF at 3pm.
