🦅🏉💚❤️ Highland 7’s Teams Update:

We had a mens team who headed to the St Andrews 7’s held at the University Grounds.

In the group stage the lads went down 36-0 in their opening tie against the Cavaliers (eventual tournament winners), and narrowly lost 22-19 again against Secret Sauce.

This meant the boys went into the Shield Competition.

The won their quarter final 42-19 against Mighty Meat and his meaty Men(??🤣), then won the semi against Gold Fingers 31-19.

So the lads played Simple Simons in the final and ran out 33-10 winners to take home the Shield Trophy.

Well done to all the lads involved – special recognition goes to Billy Bowers, Charlie Ross, and Struan O’Neill who all got their first taste of senior rugby in this tournament. Struan topped off his day by being Highlands top try scorer.
